OK I JUST HAVE TO POST A BIT OF HEADCANON THAT GEORGE AND I MADE UP A WHILE AGO
Flying Man is a popular children’s TV show. Ness and Porky always watched it together, it was one of the few things they could agree on: 3:30 sharp, in front of the TV, “YOU’VE SHOWN ME HOW! TO MAKE EACH MOMENT COUNT! — Porky, how did you eat all the chips already??”
Ness’ favorite character was, of course, Flying Man. an average joe, bitten by a radioactive canary in a freak lab accident — seriously, radioactive animals giving EVERYONE fucking superpowers up in there — he is granted the power to be Eagleland’s greatest hero! with super-strength and speed, this feathered fanatic is able to use his canary senses to catch the slightest whiff of menace afoot! evildoers beware!
Porky’s favorite character was the villain, unsurprisingly. he was this ominous guy in a helmet; the characters all just called him “the Masked Man”, and the show and comics never got around to revealing his real name, you know how it is. horribly injured in the same accident that gave Flying Man his powers, rejected from society for his looks, he blamed the latter for the incident, and swore his revenge. bitten by a radioactive lightning bug, he commands the force of thunder! beware, winged hero! beware!
and of course the show gets canned after 4-5 seasons with no real conclusion, you know how it is with kids’ shows. it gets replaced with some shit called “My Little Rowdy Mouse: Guts is SMAAAAAAAAASHING”.
